Top Frequently Asked Questions

Your contact page says you are no longing taking any new clients. Can you recommend a web designer?
Sorry, I have no recommendations at this time.

Should I get a new logo for my site?
If you already have a clean, professionally designed logo, that will work just fine for your website. If not, just be aware that it can be very hard, if not impossible, to build a professional-looking website around an outdated or amateur-looking logo.

I already registered my domain name somewhere else. Will that be a problem when finding a web designer?
No, that's perfect! You always want to make sure you are the registered owner of your domain name and registering it yourself is one of the best ways to do that. Read more about protecting your domain name.

I already signed up for web hosting elsewhere. Will that be a problem when finding a web designer?
You are free to choose your own hosting company. Just make sure you base your web hosting decision on more than price alone. For tips, check out my article on cheap web hosting. I would like to make changes to my site myself. Will that be a problem?
You should always have complete access to your website to make any changes you want. The real questions are: 1) do you have the time to maintain the site? and 2) do you have the skills to make changes without ruining the integrity of the site design? The answers to those questions will depend on what kinds of changes you want to make and how frequently they will be made.
